Original description of Dorvillea australiensis

Original name (Basionym): Staurocephalus australiensis McIntosh 1885

Described from: Australia

Type locality: Moncoeur Island, Bass Strait, offshore

Remarks: One posterior (!) fragment, of diameter 5mm. Fig.6 is of parapodium, showing the distinct 'cirrostyle-like' tip of the very large dorsal cirri (but this is more a generic character)
