Armandia of Family Opheliidae

Armandia Filippi 1861

Type species: Armandia cirrhosa Filippi 1861

Diagnosis of Armandia : Body slender, not regionated, with deep ventral groove and one lateral groove along each side of body. Prostomium sharply conical, prostomial eyes present. Branchiae from chaetiger 2 to posterior end; branchiae single, cirrform. Segmental lateral eyes present between parapodia. Notopodia and neuropodia close together, with capillary chaetae, with small ventral cirrus. Pygidium with anal funnel with papillae and long unpaired cirrus.
