Scoloplos Blainville 1828
Type species: Lumbricus armiger Müller 1776
Diagnosis of Scoloplos : Prostomium pointed, usually single peristomial ring. Posterior chaetigers of anterior region with 0-2 postchaetal lobes and 0-2 subpodial lobes, never more than 4 total. Anterior neurochaetae include blunt uncini.

Remarks: Subgenera used by some authors with Leodamas having branchiae beginning further anterior (chaetigers 4-6), than Scoloplos sensu stricto (8-26)
