Spirobranchus of Family Serpulidae

Spirobranchus Blainville 1818

Type species: Serpula gigantea Pallas 1766

Diagnosis of Spirobranchus : Serpulid with triangular tube, with medial keel. Seven thoracic chaetigers. Operculum with calcareous plate, with or without spines or radial ridges. Opercular peduncle winged. Collar chaetae capillaries and bayonet-like chaetae. [may include Pomatoceros, Pomatoleios - Fide ten Hove]
