Pelogenia Schmarda 1861
Type species: Pelogenia antipoda Schmarda 1861
Diagnosis of Pelogenia : Elongate body, numerous segments, ventral surface usually papillated, middorsal surface with adhesive papillae and attached sand grains. Long dorsal cirri present on segment three; upper lip without facial tubercle. Elytral and neuropodial filiform papillae not articulated.

Remarks: NZ sp. Genus revived by Pettibone (1997). Pelogenia seems to be characterised as unspecialised (without this, without that) alongside new genera she erected. Possibly the new genera are unnecessarily delimited in detail.
