The nereidids collected in the western coasts of Mexico during the Allan Hancock Pacific Expeditions and other expeditions (1933-1976) deposited in the LACM collection are analysed in this study. Twenty eight species are characterized including five type species. Synonymies, diagnoses, taxonomic remarks and distribution information are provided for each species. A new genus which can be differentiated from the other members of the family by the presence of paragnaths and papillae in pharyngeal areas VII-VIII, as well as three new species from the genera Eunereis, Nereis and Rullierinereis are described, together with a discussion on environmental data.
