 Diagnosis:  Genus Scoloplos in Family Orbiniidae.
Dichotomous branchiae from mid abdomen. Branchiae begin on about chaetiger 17. This is at about the end of the anterior body. Neurochaetal fascicle with an anterior row of simple, slightly-hooded hooks, present from first chaetiger. Colour:  Maximum size:  mm total length, mm body width.
 Notable aspect: Anterior body short, with very rectangular appearance and distinct "thorax/abdomen" transition. Dichotomous branchiae posteriorly.
